Gage Roads Brewing Company : ウィキペディア英語版 | Gage Roads Brewing Company
The Gage Roads Brewing Company is an Australian brewery. It is one of Australia's largest independent breweries, with a production capacity of 2.7 million cases per annum. ==History== The brewery was founded by Bill Hoedemaker, John Hoedemaker and Peter Nolin in 2002, installing a 40 hectolitre brewhouse in Palmyra, Western Australia. The brewery is named after Gage Roads, a sea channel in the Indian Ocean offshore from Fremantle. The Company's first beer, Pure Malt Lager, was produced in 2005, followed shortly after by a midstrength Pilsner and an India Pale Ale (Gage IPA). The four years following 2005 saw the gradual increase in production from around 20,000 cases a year to 50,000 cases.〔 In 2009 Woolworths Limited acquired a 25 per cent share in the brewer for $2 million,〔 which resulted in the brewing capacity being increased with the installation of a 100 hectolitre brewhouse. The brewery is now midway through a second, $9.5 million expansion to boost its production capacity from 1.2 million to 2.9 million cartons by financial year 2015.〔
